Carl,
Not a simple task on the XJ-S, BIG door needs removing, or sliding back at least to permit hinge removal.
Most of the wear I have experienced is in the "pin", and I use a Grade8 high tensile bolt, with a looooong shank, cut off the head, and use the no thread section as a new pin. A bit of "messing around", but its a Jaguar, why not.
I think new hinges are NLA, not sure.

Further to Grant's and others' replies:
There is a certain amount of adjustment room on the hinge bolts where they are fixed to the bodywork. The bolts on the body allow quite a bit of up/down adjustment and fore/aft on the (nearly) closed door, and the hinge bolts on the door allow considerable in/out tilt adjustment.
Once the door is OK, you may have to loosen the thing on the B post which the door lock engages with, and adjust that up or down so it slides easily and without fouling into the slot on the door lock mechanism.

Reviving an old thread
My drivers door is dropping a little, and I would like to correct that.
It looks to me that I have to remove or at least move the front wing/fender to get access to hinge bolts for adjustment.
Am I missing something?

The hinge adjustment works for alignment, but if the door hinge pins are worn, so the B pillar end of the door has dropped, but not the entire door length, then (in the absence of a replacement good hinge) you have to shim the bottom hinge to correct the drop.

I think the bone broke and hasn't been the same since.
Commiserations. Must have a trolley jack under the rear corner of the door! and just loosen the hinge enough to move the position with a thump. Also you need two, IMO, one on the jack and steadying that end of the door, the other on the hinge bolts/position adjustment.
