Default Amount of ATF behind drain plug?

Curious and have not found this info through search as it seems nearly every post about ATF includes only removing/replacing the pan and fluid.

Anyone know how much fluid should drain if I were to only pull the drain plug? Also, can anyone confirm torque on the plug? I have seen a couple of different numbers, both being very close to finger right, 8ft/lbs?

Thanks,
SA

But the filter is integrated with the pan…
In fact, does it matter how much drains? The fill procedure ensures a rightful volume of fluid in the transmission.

Supposedly about nothing would drain, as the FULL indication is Up To the Fill Hole when at temp. There is no DRAIN plug.

According to ZF, the listed torque for the plastic transmission pan on the GAHP26 is 8NM, including replacing the o-ring on the plug (good idea, since the o-ring is usually a few years old).

The fill plug torque is 35NM.

The fill amount is determined by a fill process that's temperature related, and filled while running. This sucks because you're reaching past a hot exhaust pipe.

Typically 6-7L are used, but the exact amount is "fill until fluid dribbles out" while the engine runs. .

If you need the refill procedure, let me know.

Attached below is the fluid change process from ZF.

This is the process from ZF, done on a BMW. The transmission and process are the same for Jag.

Thanks, I've seen this posted previously when I was searching for my info. I've also watched it, good info on this service. Thanks again.
