Default Display flicking on start up then going black on 2007 XK

I do not know what the problem is with my jaguar. I have checked all 3 fuse boxes. I checked the navigation, cd player, and dvd player optics and they are all fine. Does that mean the display is bad only? Radio works but I just cant see on the display, because it is black. Could it be a bad connection to the display? I dont know how to get to it to check. Any suggestions?

Should I take battery off then recharge and then try again?

either connected or not. choice is yours. If its nearing 5 years old, I just replace mine at the signs of trouble.

It's either the main battery failing, a bad ground or the TSD itself is going...all 3 options are common causes, main battery issues will cause all sorts of glitches, bad grounds will as well but as these age, there are some now which are failing. Have the battery load tested at a local auto parts or battery supplier for free which will at least eliminate that. Also try a reset by disconnecting the battery cables and touching the leads together briefly. If it's a ground, could take a bit more time an if you're not comfortable working on cars have a specialist take a look.

A faulty Bluetooth module will also cause strange behavior on the touchscreen but if it were my car, I'd check out the battery first, then the ground points as jahummer suggests. Just pick up a fiber optic bypass loop on Amazon and loop the BT module out of the circuit.

Once I started keeping my cat on a CTEK, these screen issues went away. Mine would start up, then go black, and repeat a few times before eventually staying on. So far, I can't find any loose or corroded grounds, so I attribute my screen issues to battery voltage.

The battery checked out good and no problems at resting or after starting. I have by passed the cd player, navigation, Bluetooth and still flicking logo and then goes black. The fuse 14 in the back seat was good that supplies to display and navigation. How do I check the ground to the display? Well, I mean do I have to take the console off or just look on the back of the display? Someone told me its on pin 6, but I dont know where that is. I was thinking it might be under the console, but I dont know how to take off on a 2007 jag xk. It probably is simple if someone can guide me. Anyone know the answer?

TSD= Touch screen display
cat - Jaguar as in Kitty cat
CTEK = battery maintainer
