Hooked up icarsoft v 3.0 now car wont start
Hopefully its because i had my foot on brake and two much pressure to engage switch. How long does it take to lose pressure so i can try again
If you inadvertently pump the brake pedal, it will feel high and rock hard. The high pedal makes it difficult to make contact with the starter switch, so you'll have to stand on the brake pedal with both feet when you press the start button..
The simple solution is to press the START button BEFORE you step on the brake pedal.
Note that other manufacturers require that you step on the brake pedal before you press the start button. Jaguar works either way, but I find that my car starts much quicker when I press the start button before stepping on the brake pedal.
My Jaguar service adviser recommended this years ago, notwithstanding the Owner's Handbook to the contrary.

Hard reset is a great trick -- saved my *** a couple of times.
It was LR JAGUAR VERSION. It did ckean up my driver's seat and went through the motions up diwn , back and forth etc. Did nothing forcmy passenger seat however. Wonder if module is bad, fuses are good.

I had this exact problem with SDD, unhook your battery for a couple minutes and it will start right up.
This happens every time I hooked up with ODB and read certain modules.
It has something to do with recalibrating the electronic parking brake.

Roger that for the "hard reset". My IcarSoft bricked my car twice, and a reset (battery connector) brought it back whew. But I've used my Icar a few times before with no problem. I'm thinking that the disconnecting procedure is in question; do you power the tool down before disconnecting, do you power it down before turning ignition off, do you switch ignition off first? The manual says only to end session before disconnecting, which makes sense. Any other IcarSoft folks can clarify?
