Default Looked at '07 XK

A local dealer got a 2007 Radience Red and Camel XK with 30K miles. The car was not reconditioned and in ok condition. Had scrapes throughout and some horrible touch up's on trunk. Had Tech and some other package with 20" wheels. Dealer wants 40K with CPO or a little less without.

I thought all XK's had an Alancatara head liner; this one did not and the general condition was just ok. I was hoping for a car that did not need "air brushing" to be presentable. It was one owner and had good service records. To me, I would not pay more than 30K and I am still not excited based on its paint condition. The color is nice, but my girlfriend and I think a black interior would fare better with our dog.

Looks like Camber will have to walk on the center console to get to back seat; was not expecting that.

The dealer is going to call me when they go through the car and tell me if they've revised the price. Unless they're talking 30K and a good trade for my VDP, I can't see it happening on this one...

Ditto on your analyses of the car condition/price. I got my 07 in Ft Myers 7 weeks ago for $29,9K. Very good condition, Lunar gray, 31k miles, base car. It does have unusual 3 tone interior. Cream seats/door cards, dove dash/consol, canvas head liner. It did need tires and I have put in a lot of work on 1 scratched up wheel.

Heretofore I had always thought of S FL cars as having a $2k premium price.

I agree that $40K sounds somewhat aggressive. Bought my '07 XK two weeks ago for under $33K from a private seller. Car has 34K miles, luxury and tech packages, 20" wheels and is CPO until the end of this year. Had it inspected by an independent mechanic prior to purchase and it does not have a mark on it inside or out. Replaced one tire because it was mismatched. You dealing with Herb Chambers? )

Best regards,

Picked my '07, 40K miles (no warranty) $31.5k. Flawless but for a single light door ding. (Packages listed in my sig.)
Paid another $3800 for an extended(and have since found out via this forum that I paid a grand too much for the warranty!).

I really want an XKR, but like the front of the XK better. The mesh around the fog lights is not very attractive to me. The clean look of XK or the 09+ either series is better looking.

$40 is high to me. Gave $35k for mine with 31k on it. Only missing option is active cruise/lights. New tires

$40k is way too high for an 07xk with that sort of mileage. I paid $39k for an 07 coupe with 7k, premium sound, 20" sentas on it plus $3k for the extended warranty.

Maybe it is worth 34K today, but not to me right now after seeing the "before".

I just drove a Maserati Coupe; makes me realize how nice the XK really is!

Just bought an '07 XK with 25K miles with all the options, including Senta wheels and brand new tires for just over $33K from a Jaguar dealership. I made sure a second key and updated nav software were included in the sale. Paid another $3500 for a 5yr/50K mile extended warranty. The car is in perfect condition. I bought the car last Friday!

I've had my XK coup for a few months now and I am still finding subtle character lines in the body that I never noticed on a conscious level.

We did good Pilot.

Congratulations on your purchases. I've found the best way to really discover a car's lines is during a full detail. There are so many little details you don't notice when you look at the whole car at once.
