Default A Simple Thank You

To the members here (X150 Forum),

I just wanted to say Thank You to some of the guys here that help other members like myself. It does not matter if its a simple newbie question, a question about parts, or the most technical question about engines, electronics, ect. these guys are always willing to lend their knowledge and advise. I have already learned so much in the short time I have owned my car and look forward to reading more from you guys in the future and learning everything I can about the great car that we have in common.

In no particular order THANK YOU
Jahummer
Cambo
Ranchero50
Jagtoes
CeeJay
Stuart S
Sean W
Queen and Country
Steve_K-XK
Mosesbotbol

This is a short list of guys that I have had the pleasure of gaining insight from, I am sure I am missing some valued members, so please feel free to add to this Thank You list, anyone you feel deserving.

With Appreciation,
Aaron

Some of the unique qualities of these forums (compared to other car forums) is how helpful, dedicated and drama free its members are. It has been a pleasure to be here and I’ve certainly learned a lot myself from other members over the years and couldn’t have done so much without them as well.

Thanks for the shout out!

One thing that I think helps this forum is that we have low-production 'expensive' cars. Not a lot of people can own these things, or more likely they don't KNOW that they COULD afford them (for the most part anyway). This mostly weeds out the Guidos and the Rednecks that buy chevy trucks, camaros and ricers (more included, but the list is HUGE).
Nothing at all against those groups specifically, but the more people, the more undesirables show.
I'm sure at least a couple people out there think I'm an AssHat, and that's OK. I try to keep it as civil as I can, but these cars bring out the emotions, and so can us owners.
I'm also on an F150 forum, and those Moderators have a full-time job trying to keep the peace. Sometimes they fail and other times they WAY overdo it.
I think that the Moderators and Admins in here do a superlative job.

I agree, the members here are most helpful. Plus what is interesting is that it is quite the international group, which is different from other forums I have been on. I like that international flavor. I cannot imagine owning this car without the help of a forum like this. I am one who is not afraid to tackle many jobs on my car, but with the help of the forum I feel much more confident. Plus troubleshooting is much, much easier when you have a bunch of people to ask if they have had similar problems in their past and what they did about it.

I have not been on this forum long but have learned a tremendous amount, and also tried to chime in and help where I was able, though my knowledge is limited from what a bunch of you guys know.

Thanks to the members, admins and mods. This is a great place.

I, too, applaud and greatly appreciate the willingness and unselfishness of so many on our forum who continually take the time and effort necessary to provide help, detailed instructions, opinions, personal experiences, pictures, diagrams, vendor names and even part numbers to the rest of us! Without you, owning a Jag XK-XKR would otherwise be scary, confusing and much more costly for those of us who are not so mechanically inclined! You are the backbone of this forum and why it works so well. Please don't think for a minute that the rest of us take your assistance and contributions for granted - because we don't!

Sold my previous XK to one of my nephews and tried to get him to join the forum.....can't seem to get him interested. Boy is that his loss!

This is my band of brothers/sisters for sure!

Thank you, TexasTraveler, for posting this. I agree with your sentiments 100%. This forum and the X308 forum have made owning my cars MUCH more enjoyable than they otherwise would be. I may not even want to own the cars without the wonderful people on here. So thank you from me too. I appreciate you all.

I haven't owned my XK for several years now, but enjoy the threads and knowledge shared on this forum.
