Default 2000 XKR information needed

I live in Canada and own a 2000 XKR. I'm having an issue with reading codes and finding parts for it. The ABS light is on and the info centre is showing Trac not available, ASC not available and a Suspension Fault. I've tried to pull the codes but I'm getting a *1000 error(sorry, I don't remember the beginning letter of the error). Starting with the ABS issue, while driving or during a test I do not hear the pump coming on so I'm sure it's the module but again, I can't get the code. As far as the suspension fault goes, while driving the suspension is very stiff. I've found the module in the trunk that controls the shocks but there seems to be a part missing in the trunk due to the connectors I've found that seem would connect to another module or part. I have included pictures. Also, I know when you open the door the window goes down slightly then goes up when the door closes. Sometimes it goes down but not back up, what should i look for that controls this system so I can fix it. Another question I have is where to get parts for this car, preferably in Canada other than from the dealer I.e. modules, relays, window clips, door panel clips, aftermarket tail lights etc. Sorry for the long post but any information would be much appreciated.

Connector in trunk left side towards the back

Welcome to the forum DarKrum,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XK8/XKR forum and deleted the duplicate from Canada Region forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

The code P1000 is a status - not an error. it indicates OnBoard Monitoring Tests have nor been completed since the last memory clear.

The window dropping and not going back up when the door is closed is a classic symptom of a partially discharged or failing battery. I recommend you check and eliminate this before chasing other weird electrical/electronic issues as they could be from the same cause.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

^^ What Graham said. Start with your battery - a failing battery may be the cause of most of your issues....

Just installed a brand new battery this morning. Nothing has changed, same faults and the windows are still not going back up when the door is closed.

Try to reset the windows by running them all the way up/down and hold button until you hear a click after the window stops moving. A must after battery swap.

Another possible cause for your warnings is a dirty/faulty wheel speed sensor. Lots on YouTube about how to clean them. All XK8s need this done eventually.

I've got the windows reset and working properly now. I just cleaned both wheel sensors and I'm getting the same warnings. No change. I also can't seem to figure out the suspension fault. I've checked the wires going to the front shocks, they look fine. I'm not sure what to check in the rear. Also, in the picture I included of the harness in the trunk, is there something supposed to be plugged in?

I believe it takes multiple driving cycles for the wheel sensor warnings to clear, if and when they are now functioning properly.

Did you clean all four wheel sensors? Your abs problem could be the typical bad solder connection to the abs pump. The code is C1095, and you can't read it with a generic reader. You will not hear the abs pump, but if you try to lock up the brakes you will feel it working. Of course, if the brakes do lock up, it is not working.
