I discovered that the clips that synchronizes the angle of the main air vent was both missing. Today I found one in the center console.




This is a part of the middle air vent (the main one in the dashboard)

Complete part number of the entire air vent is GNA6770AALEG and I believe it is quite common in Jaguars. Does anyone have a clip like the one on the picture to send me?

 

BTW, by looking at the picture, do you think the bottom is broken off?

From the picture, I would say that the bottom tab likely is broken off.

 

Ok, that means I need 2 pcs of these clips, can't find them in the JEPC, only as a complete unit.

 

Doesn't look like the part is listed separately.

Perhaps there's a breaker not too far away from you that you could find a vent? Or eBay perhaps?

Looking on eBay it seems as though a whole center vent can be had for 50 USD, give or take. Seems as though most are listed in the US though.

I was spending more time at the computer then I should, but I was looking at all the used products that "707 Autoparts .com" has to offer and they were offering the complete center air vent system. I don't recall how much, or just what page it was on (they have many-many pages of items) but if you want to take the time, just start flipping through them and you'll come upon it soon enough.
Just a thought.
