Default Direct Replacement parts - Ford or Lincoln catalytic converters?

Does anyone know if any of the later model Fords or Lincolns catalytic converters are direct replacements for Jaguars, specifically the right bank, passanger side, of a 2000 XK8?

Thanks.

I've edited your Thread Title to try to prompt a response.

74 Views as I write and no replies. Surely someone knows the answer even if it's 'NO'....?

I'm going to doubt that any of the Ford/Lincoln parts would work here since it is fairly tight for space, but before you consider OEM Jaguar, try Nameless Performance. You can get some very nice units that flow better than OEM and for less money. I've heard the wait time can be long though.

It's unlikely. While the engine blocks are similar and share many components, they're more different than similar.

Thanks, xenophobe. It appears Nameless Performance and OEM are the only options, if the Nameless downpipes with cats for the XKR will fit.

My personal experience with replacing OEM cats with aftermarket cats is limited to General Motors LS engines, which are larger in displacement than any current Jag motor. Found that a much smaller aftermarket cat fit just fine and performed well for 90K miles.
With that experience I think you could probably fit a Ford/Lincoln cat from their "Jaguar-like" motors. But you will have to confirm fit from the general outside dimensions. This is critical. It probably will not be a "drop-in" fit. That's too much to hope for. I think then that a competent exhaust shop could work up a fitment, cutting in a new cat to your existing inlet/outlet connections..
Nameless Performance's cats are simply aftermarket cats with mounting connections to fit particular Jaguars. In my judgement, they are not exotic.
My guess is that Ford/Lincoln or quality (note "quality") aftermarket cats will pass any sniff test; but, beware of California which prohibits any change to OEM.

Thanks, Rey,

That opens up a wider selection to check out.
