Default Do I need to lube o'rings on injectors before installing?

I got my fuel rails and injectors back from Injector RX, they capped my pulsation dampeners and cleaned up my injectors and put all new o'rings on them. Do I need to lube the o'rings at all and if so with what before I pop them back in the rail and into the intake???

so I can use a hand lotion on the rings, more or less to keep them from getting torn up if I put them in dry?

i use 3m o-ring grease or vasoline. use either very lightly, the lube helps the o-ring move under pressure to its sealing position where it then is compressed by the pressure fluid and then seals. too much lube and the lube might provide a passage for the presseurized fluid.

Yes and use 3m silicone paste. Always always always or you risk cutting a seal. I dont like petroleum based as could cause issue with different seal materials

well reading it here and Googled it, I used a motor oil. I guess we will see it it leaks. I have already mounted them into the rails and clipped them in. Tommorrow or this weekend I will button it all back up and hope the hell all the work I have done to the car (my other threads) that she will fire up and run.

I would hope that orings meant for use with gasoline don't have a problem with petroleum derivatives.

But it's true, silicone is probably the safest for all types of seal materials.

I did more searching, there is all types of input to what lube to use and motor oil is often given as the way to lube them as stated on many other car forum sites.

Here you go:
Injector_Installation.pdf

If you will be working on the car regularly JTIS is a handy tool to have:
