Hello all,
Hoping I can get some clear direction on this. My 2003 XK8 is missing its rightside washer cover. I searched formums and you tube to see how this is replaced, and what I found (supposedly) is it just snaps on? is this true? and if so if it doesnt does that mean the pump is broken and now I need to replace that as well? Thanks and I look forward to the help. also pics or video would be appreciated.
It's a simple ball on the mirror that snaps onto the motor which is held onto the jetwasher unit. GGG gave the schematic diag, and I attach a Pic below of what I have.
Two possibilities, the plastic ball recess in the mirror cover is too big, and just needs filling to help "snap on" or 2. the power washer ball tip is too small and just needs enlarging. Lots of ways to do this - duct tape!
I would also check that the power washer unit is securely fitted to the bottom of the headlamp unit.
Quick up date as I was messing with washer ball bottom piece broke off!! Im pretty sure I need a new washer jet lol but on the positive side I have the cover now LOL.

Hi BG...
I might be able to dig you up one of those jet motors. I think they are a PITA, personally. I am not sure if they are a left right oriented thing... Which side would you need, if I have?
From memory (and I guess I could do a quick search) due to the laws of supply/demand them little mirrors can be pricey. They pop off a lot I'd guess.. I think, maybe, I will remove my jet units for the the headlights altogether, and just permanently place/glue the mirror pieces to the headlight assembly (I can't think of a time I actually thought, hey, my headlights are dirty, let me spray wash them with the washer jet, lol). As time goes the bits shrink, get brittle, the Jets don't like to stay positioned under the headlight assembly (a strange set up anyway) and, it's just a matter of time that, while driving, I go to use the windshield washer and the mirror bit pops off and ends up on the Brooklyn Queens Express Way. I can see myself dodging traffic trying to recover it on the highway, lol. What a thing.
