Hey Rev! Nice to see you pop around again. Is the X150 forum boring because of the lack of issues or because of the driver's of those cars?

Is that a testament to the reliability of the X150 or the dullness of its owners?

Always good to see you, Sam. Welcome back. I assume you are still in Clayton. Anytime you feel the urge to work on an X100 again while making a video of the job, come on over....

I'm still a bit of a newbie here, and I think I joined after you moved to the X150, but your videos and guides are legendarily useful. Thanks very much for doing all of that.

And that big road trip was pretty cool, too.

I like my X150, but that subforum is just slow. Not a lot going on there. I think it's probably because there were way fewer X150s built than X100s. As a result, there are fewer discussions in the X150 forum.

And the X100's are at an age now where anyone can buy them. Heck... I see used ones on Craigslist for $2000-$3000 all the time. Of course, they are in terrible shape and need all sorts of work, so newbies go to the X100 forum to learn how to fix the broken stuff. The 2007+ XKs and XKRs are still at a price point where the people buying them are more likely to have someone else work on them than try to fix it themselves.

The 1997-2006 XKs are at a point where they are only going to go down in value if they are abused. I sold my 2003 for $11,000 in 2012 or 2013. When I look online I see similar cars selling for similar prices. In 20 years I'm sure they will be selling for way more. I'm not saying that a used XK8 is a good investment, but it's a way better investment than a brand new Camry.

Reverend Sam,

It's good to have you back with us as I have a question about my 2005 XKR's Dash Lights....I watched you as you changed your Bulbs (several times) and feel I have that down pretty well....but I've heard that if I replaced them with LED Bulbs there would be a 50/50 chance the Bulb would not light up....due to polarization! Meaning I would have to go back in and switch around those Bulbs that did not light-up......or is there a way to solve this problem before putting the Dash back together?.

Any word on this?

+1 on you spending time with us. People contribute to "being good citizens" in many ways, your contributions to this community add to the fun of having this car and keep many of them out of the junk yard. You are obviously a teacher at heart!
