That's a new one on me too!

I've never been a fan of luggage racks on sports cars and GTs, but I guess if you want to drive your British classic on longer trips, it's the only way to accommodate sufficient luggage.

I've seen these on miatas, but when i need more luggage space than my miata has, I just take my jag... it already has an enormous loot capacity.

Brings me back to a fond and vivid memory -- of my Triumph TR6, to which I had added a similar rack. As I was circling the Eiffel Tower, perhaps to speedily, I lost the luggage that was strapped on. Operator error, I am sure. Luckily, I continued around again, stopped and retrieved it. Thanks, pcolapacker for the memory !

Might be attempting to emulate Steve McQueen's famous 1956 XKSS, the "Green Rat"....

Not sure why this is needed with the generous space available in the boot and back seats (that are only good for storage). I do see the nod to nostalgia for owners of earlier British two-seaters.
