On my new 2000 XK8 the rear 1/4 windows stay up when the roof is opening. I've checked Fuses 5, 12, and 20 in the rear fuse box. I'm guessing it could be a relay or switch, but I have no idea where they would be located. Can I manually test the windows? I replaced the battery, and reset the window positions. I assume this was happening before I bought the car.
The quarter window relays (there are 2 each window) are in the boot in the fuse/relay box.
The Electrical Guide has location and operation info. (S2000_XK8.pdf)
One changes state while the other stays to move open or closed.(5 terminal SPDT)
Check relays and power/ground at the terminals?

The video you posted showing how to bypass the relays to get the rear windows to raise or lower has disappeared. Something with U-tube. Can you reset that video??
I can't get my rear windows to go up after lowering the top and getting it back up. It was hard raising so I had to hold the button for a long, long time. Top is up and finally latched, but rear windows are stuck down.
OK. I got the video again and watched it 4 times. But the author's hands block too much of what he is ding to see. Can you explain which connectors/wires/relays he is "jumping" or attaching to? Is there power from the battery involved, or just getting one part of each relay to activate?
Maybe this pic will help you. The big top pin is for the +ve power. I did this job a while ago (built a switched relay), so can't remember which position was up/down. You can experiment without breaking anything.
Sorry I couldn't remember any more.
