I love my 2000 xkr! But I don’t love the seat covers as they are quite worn. My car only has 20,000 miles and I plan on driving it forever and want the interior to look as nice as the exterior. What sources do you recommend for replacement seat covers.
I live in key west which doesn’t help when you need something repaired or replaced. Should I go to Miami or buy premodern replacements on line?

The Tops On Line covers are very good quality and inexpensive. Color match is excellent. I installed them on my 97 about three years ago. See if they have a listing on ebay that's cheaper than factory direct.

 

Be aware of the side air bags!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaguar issued a warning 20 years ago. Just a heads up. You can do whatever you want, it's your car.

Some seat covers have a seam that will tear to allow deployment.

Bob, thanks for posting this. I had no idea my 1998 xk8 has an air bag in the seat! Thought it was just the ones in the steering wheel and the passenger dashboard.

 

Not doubting you, but I am about to do the seat covers I bought on my 00 XKR and they are the single piece integrated headrest back and was wondering if that applies to these seats and era car? It appears the XJ got them in the X308 right off the bat, but did the X100? If so, I guess I'll have to figure this out when I pull the seats!

 

I think side air bags began in 2001.

I would be happy to buy the replacement covers but need a reliable company to install. I live in Key West, and there is no one here I would trust. Does anyone know a company in Miami that can install?

Years ago I was impressed with Pauls jaguar when i needed seat covers for my xj6. I think they even recovered a seat 4 me. Maybe they stock xk8 leather and are still highly regaurded?

fyi yes they are on Florida.
