Aftermarket speaker additions. Looks like they did a real nice job BTW. 1st photo- interesting position, might be really good choice.
2nd photo, I can't figure where the camera is showing.

The second picture is the A-pillar on the passenger side.
When the audio system is on no sound comes from them. I even placed a stethascope over them. Nothing.
Odd they are only on one side of the car.

John, my 04' coupe also has these. The A-pillar one is identical, the rear one on mine differs because of it being a coupe.
Those are the ultrasonic sensors for the airbag enable / disable. Lean forward in the passenger seat and the air bag light on the dash in front of you comes on, that's how it knows.
Find a young person and have them sit in the passenger seat, they will be able to hear a high pitched ticking sound.

Fun trick is to play an intermittent high pitched tone (say 15 kHz) at very loud volume through the stereo speakers when the children are around. "What? I can't hear anything..."

I have a coupe like you and I don’t hear anything in the drivers seat, but if I sit on the passenger side (rare indeed) I can hear a light high pitched ticking from the B pillar sensor behind me when my head is turned the right way.
My dog isn't heavy enough to activate the air bags. The light on the dash is on when we go cruising. He really likes the top down until we get going faster. He'll duck back in the cockpit and look through the windshield to make sure I'm going the right way.
