Looks reasonably well made, double stitched, Not sure I'm crazy about the 'spider legs' for support on the back I wouldn't want those wearing on the back seat. I couldn't find a weight (rough idea on how strong it might be) and I did notice $60 shipping to US.. Still 100 cheaper than Amadesh. I'm (wife) is looking for one. Thanks for the heads up I'll have to think about this one.
The Wife is looking! Welcome to my world. Your concerns are mine, but I'm beginning to like the size more than the large factory one, but how effective is it. This might need more study. The holes have to be drilled on the factory ones, I think. Comments?
Jody, Thanks, I was hoping someone in that part of the world would jump in. The wife would love it at that price and if you can give us a report on the effectiveness, they might sale out in a day.
Myself, the wind stop bothering my hair in the '60's, just wind burn. LOL
I have just fitted one . took an hour to fit , make sure the vertical part is upright before marking where to drill. Very impressed very little wind buffeting even above legal speeds !!! The black one is cheaper then the beige one .Very well built .
Received the wind deflector today and very impressed with quality. Couple of holes drilled and fitted in under an hour. Thanks for the heads up about having it straight up. Also worth having an extra person to hold it when measuring up. I took it out for a spin today and what a difference.
Today was sunny and 10C out. I was literally just wearing a t-shirt with the roof down and took it for a quick blat up to 120 leptons. Very little wind inside the car compared to without the deflector.
Here's some pics.

Pretty decent looking! Did they provide a sheet of instructions to show you where to drill? For the deflector that I installed, it was necessary to remove the finish casing pieces at each side and install metal angle brackets. On one side there was already a hole for the mounting of the bracket but on the other side it was necessary to drill a hole in the metal. No big deal but I was wondering if the installation for the deflector that you bought is basically the same. Perhaps you can scan the instruction sheet and post?

Doug
Hi Doug. No instruction sheet I'm afraid. I had to remove the top covers above the seat belt, so I had access behind.
there was no metal to bolt too on my car. I drilled a 10mm whole through masking tape and the material which has a cardboard backing with some insulation type material.
Then you screw the plastic bolt through and use the washer and nut to secure it. The back part has a little bracket it slots into. that needed two screws. It took me 5 mins to remove the rear seat squabs to give me access and done.
Thanks for the photos, looks great yet I have a question. On the website photos from mfg there appear to be two small 'fingers' that are on the horizontal wing, these probably support it when in position, my concern is these contact the leather where? This will probably vibrate a good bit and I'm just a bit concerned with wear on the leather, where do they seat/rest (photo would be great) Thx
Purchased from Ebay for $269US, arrived from Germany in about 10 days via DHL. Wind deflector Jaguar XK8 1996-2005 with Spring System Color is perfect match to interior, and appears well constructed. Installed in less than an hour with minimal modification to trim panels. I like the look and it provides a very noticeable improvement to the cabin wind. My wife also very happy, and we all know what that means!
Thanks for the review, love your moniker by the way. I'd love one of these, my lady was told by her hairdresser that convertibles actually break off your hair (Ladies hair - wise men know when to debate and when to leave well enough alone ), but then 1/2 our rides are with our Irish Setter which kind of kills the deflector for us, unless I was up for holding her in my lap all the time.
Guess I'm lucky (very lucky) that my better half doesn't mind wearing a kerchief for our rides. But is sure does look good, thanks for the photos.
