It's always fun to run across the occasional photo in a thread but this one is just for our photos!
Maybe if it goes well, it can be a sticky! It would be a great place to remember former and lost members before its too late, as well as the new owners to come!!

Joseph,

Your 2001 XK8 Convertible looks nice with the "Kit Car" changes......but personally, I would rather have the "Victory Edition" Tail Lights than the "Double Reds" that you have with the "Kit"...! Is this the "Paramount" Kit?

Couldn't understand how you kept it so clean. Then I saw the second photo and realised you take your detailer along with you.

The right way to run a Jaguar - drive it regardless of the weather.

no its actually a arden reproduction I had mina gallery make me since they still had the molds here In the states it's hard to find any aftermarket parts. And shipping is crazy expensive from the UK. They pretty much told me they were not going to do any more. Of course I'm sure cash would change there mind. Lol

I got them from Grantley Design out of the UK (link HERE)... I liked the look of them and definitely needed to get some of the heat out of the engine bay. It was cheaper than getting an XKR hood and also makes it a little different.

Blindside,

Thanks! Grantley Design has some nice stuff!... Do you have to cut the Hood? And sorry but what's the deal on the Engine? (6.7 408 Stroker)
Nice Car!

Bill, those Wheels would really look good on a Black Coupe!

Thanks! The wheels are from Avant Garde (I had to have the hub bore opened up a few mm but I bought them used and definitely love them).

As for the motor, I went the way of the LS swap because my original motor blew at 38,500 miles in 2019 and the ZF 5-speed from my era xk8 can be a major problem with the a-drum failure. That thread is HERE.

I am very happy with the way everything turned out and I will probably have this car the rest of my life - unless someone offered me a LOT of money and then I would put it towards an F-Type R convertible

And yes, I had to cut the hood but it came out almost perfect... I will probably have the hood resprayed because the hood vents aren't perfectly matched color wise and they stand out a touch rather than blending into the hood. That thread is HERE.

Unfortunately New Jersey requires a license plate on the front bumper. I may move to Pennsylvania just to get a clean look on the front!

NJXXR,

In TEXAS, we are required to have a Front Plate also.....But I don't! The only time they've stopped me, I told them that I had to order the Bracket from England and it hasn't come in yet! He said, "OK!" That seems to work pretty well!
