You are correct. This is for the 2006 XKR that I was planning the intake tube mod. I don't think the air passing thru the supercharger is going to have the resonant pulses of the normally aspirated engine. The supercharger will have a fairly stead pull on the low pressure side. I still wonder if the smooth aluminum aftermarket tube with rubber elbows will give more total air flow. The air temperature running higher as measured with the aluminum tube may be indicating more air coming thru to the engine at a given velocity.

 

Apparently, the design is to reduce noise _for_ improved performance.
