You would think so but my unit came from a ford dealership and it doesnt even have all the software....
That would be great if you could upload the .iso of the cds then i can just burn them onto a disc.
I'll try and send you a pm bob not sure if i can yet

Got the PM and I started an upload of B45. I need to convert some Ford stuff to .iso

I never use the Ford software but I keep it because the WDS units I have are all Ford and came with software.

I also have install instructions for B45.

I think I'm going to join this club. I believe I have located a WDS machine, with the dock.

It apparently works, but comes with no accessory cables. What cable would I need to connect it to my 1996 Jaguar XJS. I'm assuming there's a 20 pin cable with an OBD2 end?

You should have a B203 and A204.
The B203 is an absolute must. The A204 will be needed if the PTU software requests it.

I don't suppose anyone has a copy of IDSv130 lying around... I can't seem to get my cloned mongoose to communicate with the XJS with anything newer

IDS stopped at 118.5 SDD then continued onward. I have SDD 121,125,126,127,128,129,130,131.

When I had a Mongoose Pro I never tried to use it on XJS or 1995> XJ6.
I bought a VCM and sold the Mongoose.
I have WDS so that is what I use on the old cars.

Dear Bob:

I recently had a 0753 and 0748 fault after a 1647 which cleared. However faults returned and stayed in gear box fault mode.

I replaced all the solenoids as I thought at 135k the indication solenoid A was one that historically on the web looked good. Started up and cleared codes and then immediately on the 2-3 shift (could have been 1-2 shift). DIfference now is that when I stop and turn the car off the codes clear themselves so to speak, and I can run the car with no fault light (unlike before) until the first 2-3 shift whereupon it goes into fault mode and sets a 0753 ONLY code

I think I installed everything correctly although on the top third solenoid over from battery there was this metal solid "V" shaped "stabilizer(??) about 3/8" x 1" that did soemthing I dont know what and I didnt get that into the correct position. Any thoughts? Could something be stuck inside the valve body? It first occurred while cold.

Thank you do much! WOuld you mind contacting me off list?

All codes start with a letter... And you look to be in the wrong forum. Worse, this is the wrong thread too.

Does the B45 work on all the Fords? I have B43 but I usually let other people use it to work on their Fords.

Hello motorcarman

I am working on a project which I hope will eventually land me a Range Rover P38 running with an AJ133 V8 engine.
I currently own a WDS unit with Ford software, and I would like to purchase some software from you.
I'm interested in a copy of CD-2 (latest 'ghost disc'), JTP 759 Disc Issue 43.

Is the software JLR or only Jaguar?
Would I need to install all previous versions of software before I can install 43?

Regards
Rob

If anyone is interested I have a working WDS for Jaguar with V43 installed. OBD cable and elusive battery cable. I have access to the docking station as well.

This was mine previously and I reacquired it.

I rebuilt the battery pack back in the day.

I do not need this as I have a VCM and IDS.

If interested send me a PM.

Thanks

The WDS was never used by Land Rover as far as I remember but they did used the IDS Rotunda VCM because we (Jaguar shop) borrowed it from Rover (across the street) when our VCM failed. Jaguar Tech Hotline told us to borrow the Rover unit to finish what we were doing and they sent a replacement VCM overnite.

The IDS software does have Jaguar and LR choice on the Splash Page to enter the VIN. I never chose LR cause I don't work on them.

I have JWDS_ENG_4 (CD2 Ghost) WDS 43 (CD42a and 43) on a MY DRIVE site.
Send me a PM and I will get you an INVITE to download the software.

Oh ok.
I have a Rotunda VCM however I think it may be faulty as it goes through its power up cycle but it doesn't communicate with my pc.
That could also be my pc playing up.

Thanks for the work but it requires a sign up or account of some kind?
Anyway you can remove those requirements? I have used dropbox before and it just let me download the documents with no other requirements.
