I just acquired a 2000 XK8 Coupe that had been sitting in a garage for 6 plus years. (Free, so can't argue with the price) Very nice looking car with flawless paint no dings or chips. Prior to starting it up I will be changing all filters and fluids, and thoroughly flushing the fuel system. Also plan on pulling the valve covers to verify it has the new tensioners, and if not replacing them. Previous owner said it ran fine when parked with one code. New tires too, but unfortunately "aged out".

Already found lots of good information on this site, so thanks to all those who have posted part numbers and DIY photos. I am a reasonably competent DIY mechanic and have done some engine swaps and built several Chevrolet engines both stock and performance oriented. Also have some experience with BMW and early Rolls Royce. First Jag though.
