Hi all,
Lanny Bertram here. My wife Barb and I bought our first Jag last Fall. 2007 XK Convertible. We looked for quite a while to find one in British Racing Green but finally found one with low miles (36k). It was love at first sight.
Anyway, I have been reading this forum since we purchased the car and it has been a treasure trove of information. I have downloaded manuals and read many threads looking for answers in order to make a few minor repairs. But now I have come on a problem I can not find an answer to. I want to remove the drivers seat so I can take it to an upholstery shop to repair a small, previously repaired hole in the bolster. The seat is loose except for one inline electrical connector i.e. DSO25. I cannot figure how to release it. I will try to add a pic, It's the connector in the middle. My 70 year old knees would much appreciate any info, ideas or thoughts.
The connector in the middle has me baffled as to how to remove it.
Someone has had a go at that already - the locking "bar" is broken (see arrowed in RED).
The connector is separated by sliding a wide flat screwdriver beneath that "bar" to press down on the rectangular locking tab beneath it. The male section of the connector then pulls out in the direction arrowed in GREEN.
I can see you've already found your way to the X150 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Many thanks Everyone! Especially for help with that stubborn connector. I am the one who broke the "bar" with my fingers trying to push on the tab. But one nudge with a wide flat blade and it almost separated it's self. Funny how we (I really mean me) can get hung up on the simple things sometimes.
This Forum is the best.
