i canot open the lid on the Centre Console
it slides back ok
any ideas on how to fix it

sorry, i was told it was an S-Type

 

it is. Nice one too. Does the lid latch when you slide it closed. If not i suspect the release is messed up. I would try a plastic body or door panel tool to see if you can release the catch. Never ran into this problem but those are my initial thoughts. By the way your signature says x type and not s type. You should correct that so as not to cause confusion. the plastic leavers are known to break inside the chrome leaver . also the.cables is a little bit adjustable if your game enough to open it up .
be warned it is complex .

it was one of my first jobs i had to do with mine when i bought it .
there are two cables in side , i had to switch them side for side to get mine adjusted to work again .
you can leaver the arm rest left and right to get it to un-latch with a screw driver or preferably a plastic prise tool near the two latches . .

just had a look
in my details it says S-Type, no X
in my profile it says X, no S-Type
i cant seem to change it

 

Click "Knares" in top right corner
Click "my profile" in the drop down
Scan down left hand side and find "edit signature" under heading "Settings &Options"
Don't forget to save once you convert X-type to S-type

Yeah, sorry, I screwed up! In the first step, right click your username/avatar in top right, then choose "User CP" or "User control panel" not "My Profile" sorry...
