Question Update on no start from beerline123

I think I have a big clue which I'm confident this intelligent board can figure out. Ok after repeatedly cranking and getting nowhere I left the hood open with the engine cowl off and the cars engine being hit by the sun. Just for ***** and giggles I figured to try one more time and boom starts right up and runs fine. So what happened what did the warmth change. Warm a sensor maybe I don't know but all my troubles with starting began with the cold snap in the northeast PHILADELPHIA. Too be specific. But this has to mean something I need the mechanically inclined experience of this board . Thanks

Cold for me here too, Pittsburgh. Anyway, sun might have thawed a frozen fuel line.

You could possibly have a poor connection to a sensor or an open circuit to the MAF due to the cold. Other possibilities can also include water in the fuel system.

Check all connectors for tight fit and add a conditioner to the fuel in case there is water present in the system.

If the MIL is illuminated, post the codes.

I think that you have a failing fuel pump. It will crank to no end and never start, then the next day it starts like nothing happened. Classic.

P1111 is Jagspeak for 'no faults founds, all monitors ready'. It's a sign of a healthy car.

Where are you getting your definition of this code?

+1 that it's not IAT or any other sensor, that's on a different car not a Jag. It's a (good) status code.
