Hi guys been a while, UPDATE: I have been waiting for the person to come finshs the programing and he did not show up after I got the ecm plug working he hasnt showen up at all, So I gave up on him and I installed the JLR SDD version 163, I am using the vnci cable from amazon:
I need help proceeding with the programing. @Thermo I dont remeber if you have used the software before for programing, but whats happening is
when I connect my cable to the car it says its connected on the bottom right of the SDD I dont have a battery maintair so I have it hooked
up to a running car using jumper cables the battery on the top left goes green, then I try to auto vin it and it shows up with not dectected ?????????.
I then go back and do it manually and it loads up into legacy mode or something. I then go to service fuctions it reads the modules and then I go to
recamendations and then go down to powertrain and configure new moudlues: powertrain control moudle. Now its telling me to make sure key is in
barell in off position > check if gear is park with handbreak up > turn key to on posistion > fault report: No calibration for this variant ( picture below)
> back to recomandations.

I then try to run the impolizer same things then it says no connection with the ecm. I try it again it gives me this (picture below)

Just to make sure that the wire did not move or anything I grab my scanner and it can read all the engine light codes from the ecm thats connected.

So I am not sure why this is not working and what I need to do. Any insight is better then nothing
Please help me figure this out. I have already wasted almost 3 months waiting
for the person.

 

Help, I wish I could help you, but you are going where I have not. I know I struggle through the program every time I have had to use it. Not very intuitive if you ask me. But then, I guess I am going into it ways that you are not supposed to. I tend to like to just look around when there isn't even really a fault, but to make sure all is good. Hopefully one of the other members can stop in and give you some pointers.

 

Ok yeah no worries, I uninstalled SDD and installed a older version 154 and its the same thing. I dont want to deal with the hassle of deteting it and installing the preious version unless I HAVE TOOO.
both versions do the same thing. dont auto-vin, I have to enter it manually and when I try to run the refllash program thingy it has me doing a couple things like have key barrel but in off position then check it its in park and hand brake is up then turn the key to the on position. Then it gives me the same fault like before " no cailbration for this variant". I am LOST

IF anyone knows anyone here in the fourms please tag them maybe
they can help me out with this issue.

Maybe it's USA IDS/SDD files but Canadian market car.

 

idk I am not sure, when Install the as built file and calibration it doesn't show any for xtype?
so idk what to do, the wire I have does not work with windows 7 so I can't test older version unless I get it on wi ndsows10/11

 

ik I probably asked this question before, but is it possible to transfer all the data from the old ecm to the new one and make it plug and play, without having to program the ecm?
