Default 2013 XF Brake Pads

Anyone have any recommendations to alternative brake pads I can use on the stock rotors for a 2013 XF 3.0L AWD? Not a fan of the Jaguar ones, hoping to find some better ones for front and rear aftermarket.

Also has anyone used the pad sensors off eBay? Any issues with those?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Define your idea of better (ie longer lasting, less brake dust, better bite when cold, better bite when hot). I got pad sensors from rock auto which worked just fine on the rear as I broke the orignal one removing it (fronts I saved and reused the sensor.

Want hoping to get some that are longer lasting with similar performance. Willing to pay a little more, but these Jaguar ones don't last me much time at all.

I have used and like Akebono ceramic pads. They don't brake quite as good as the oem pads but also don't leave a ton of visible dust either. I don't think they make a pad that fits the front of the XF (or at least our 13 XF awd) Problem is to get the performance you need pads that wear quickly. Just as the case with tires. You don't get great lifespans out of top tier performance tires and if you want pads that bite quick you will give up a bit of longevity.

Was leaning towards the EBC Redstuff pads. Have you heard anything about those?

Have never been a big fan of EBC stuff personally at least back in my hill climbing days their pads seem to be very much temp dependent which for a race car is fine, for a daily driver not so much. Don't know much about the redstuff but a look at it it seems like it is just your average premium ceramic pad like the ake.

I have redstuff on my 2010 XF SC and they are great. As mentioned above the immediate bite isn't as strong as the soft oem pads, but vastly less dust and a very smooth and strong braking performance. I've been very pleased
Mine has the big 380mm front brakes. You will need to check if they have ones that fit on yours.

Apparently redstuffs used to be a bit dodgy years ago but now they are good.
Also, the OP has a 2013 XF 3.0 AWD, which means he almost certainly has the 355 mm front brakes and not the 380 mm ones.

I've used Powerstop Evolution Ceramics for the front and Akebono Euro Ceramic for the rear (they're not available for the front, itherwise I'd get them for the front as well) with excellent results. They don't dust much at all and they don't squeel. Make sure you "bed" them in correctly.

I've used Porterfield on other cars in the past but they're very expensive by comparison. Also, Porterfield sent me pads that were so thick that they didn't fit on the rotors, so I had to pay the mechanic twice.
