Default Central locking not working

Hi all, I have an xf 2012 2.2 diesel. Recently I had some small dents repaired by a guy in the rear nearside door. Ever since I have the door open warning light on the dash ( was absolutely fine before), I cannot lock the car anymore and weirdly whatever button on the remote I press the boot lid opens! I replaced the lock on the door today and still have the same problem, can anyone help?
Thanks Steve

Broken wire in the loom to the door?

Default Makes sense

Given that the dent repair guy actually accessed the inside of the door through the wiring access point in the door it makes sense. Good suggestion. Hope it's not because that would be a giant pain

So I've checked the wiring and all seems to be good, does anyone know if each door has it's own ecu? And if so where it's located in a door?

Yes each door has it's own module, inside each door, so door card needs to come off.

I had my driver's door apart today; the control unit is mounted to the plastic insert that houses the larger of the speakers for the sound system- almost directly behind the armrest on the door. I can't confirm or deny that there is a similar unit in each door.

Just for clarity it's actually connected to the door card itself on the rear doors
