Cabin Air Filter location? RESOLVED
Welcome to the forum optamistt,
I've copied this question from your Intro.
Your vehicle is not necessarily fitted with a Pollen Filter but if it is, members here with the same model will be able to help you locate it.

Brendan,
I've never come across one on a UK spec X300 but the Parts Catalogue lists it for German spec and it may be applicable to other markets:

I suspect it's probably only available as an option and not fitted as standard.
It will be interesting to see comments from members in other parts of the World to find out if these filters are used anywhere as a standard fitment.

Would be interesting to know if the filter assembly was in all X300s but just not fitted with a filter in some markets. It could be an opportunity to fit a filter if one wanted to by just buying the filter and dropping it in.
If anyone has photos of where this assembly is located, how it is accessed/removed, it may be an easy check for others to see it is "all there" just without the filter element installed.

optamistt,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums!
Like Graham, my references list a pollen filter for the German market only. Here's the illustration for the German part number JLM12085:

Apparently, for the rest of the world the X300 cabin air filter looks like this:

Sorry, I couldn't resist!
Cheers,
Don

BTW, while at my local Jaguar dealer, they printed out a summary of all the specs of my car that lists all the standard equipment and options fitted, and one was listed as the "automatic A/C with air filter".
So, I guess when I remove my wiper cowl one day to repaint it, I'll see if the filter is under there.
