Default rubberized plastic cover on key coming off

The rubberized plastic cover on my key is peeling off. Does anyone know a glue that works well? I've tried 3m 77, the spray, and it doesn't work very well.

Thanks!

Yes. I went through the same thing and tried MANY, it is now good. At Home Depot I found a "Loctite Plastics Bonder" that was akin to a super glue type of glue, but had an "Activator" that was put on both pieces by way of a felt pen like device. After that evaporated, it was glued with the second liquid, and it was good. Again, I tried for MONTHS before finding this, and it is the ONLY thing that worked.

Is this the correct part number? I asked parts and it was an invalid number.

It sounds like you have an early-style key?

If so, why not fix two problems with one solution; replace just the shell with the newer style:

Same issue and nothing worked except Loctite cyanoacrylate (super glue in the red tube). Only glue a few millimeters at a time and work slowly toward the edge. Mine has been fine for months now.
