Default XJR transmission (722.6) refresh

2003 XJR-R1 with 189,000 miles. No current transmission codes or problems except one time "thunk' when I put it into gear after a cold start. Not a lot time driving. Haven't taged her yet so only run around on country roads near my house. Fluid dirty brown yellow. Gathering parts and supplies for transmission refresh. Found Shell ATF 134 for $8.50 a quart on Amazon. Obvioulsy new filter and gasket. Getting TransGo upgrade kit. Thinking Sonnax overlap control valve sleeve kit and blue top solenoids that @hispeed42 did. Don't think I'll do connector plate as not having the issue @motorcarman discussed in another post. Purchased a transmission dip stick. Funny thing instuctions say cannot be left in engine since need engine running to check. It wouldn't fit under the plastic cover in front of the cowl anyway.
Questions:
Are all 722.6 transmissions the same as far as the parts I've addressed? One reason I ask is some of the online catalogs don't list the parts as compatible with an XJR?
I think I've read some 722.6s have a torque converter drain plug. On a 2003?
On two ZF 5HP24s, I've flushed the tranny by disconnecting the transmission fluid cooling line. Anyone do on a 722.6?
Any need to replace the harness connector if not leaking? Why I ask is that some kits come with the connector.
I've got a tranny left over from teh 2001 XJR I used in my swap project. No issues with that tranny when pulled. If things go south, will that tranny plug and play into the 2003.

I have found that the torque converter drain plugs seem to be only on the 1998/99 XJRs.
The later TCs don't have the drain plug.
All the 4.0 SuperCharged XKR/XJR W5A580 gearboxes will plug and play.(don't know if the TCMs are different X100 to X308, does not matter when you use the TCM that came with the car)

The TSB for the connector was for a leaking problem.

The problem was also with Daimler/Chrysler that used the Mercedes gearboxes.

If I do the conductor plate while there, what brand is recommended? FCP and Autohauz list an OEM part without identifying the manufacturer for $$. On other sites found Rostra, Waterwich, SMMS and Bapmic for $. Never heard of these companies.

I have used BAPMIC parts for something? Don't know if it was for VW or Jaguar?

The conductor plate I bought was supposed to be OEM but MERCEDES was blanked out. All the other markings were present.
The product description said it was made by the same company that supplies Mercedes but 'blanked out' due to trademark issues?
It was pricier than the cheapest ones but less than the Jaguar or Mercedes parts dept.
It functions fine, no issues.

I think I paid a little less than $200 with tax and shipping.

For what it's worth, I bought a conductor plate kit on Amazon for around $50. Included the filter, connector, gasket and conductor plate. Manufacturer was listed as Benefast but was identical to the OEM unit with no Mercedes branding. Solved my intermittent hard shift problem and an odd noise like a camera shutter at idle. Shift points all seem to be the same and no discernable difference to the OEM unit just no hard shifts. I believe the hard shift issue was a flakey speed sensor. You can definitely pay more for peace of mind but it worked for me and so far, it's holding up just fine. One of the best $50 spent on this car but YMMV.

I would personally suggest replacing the conductor plate as the age and mileage are certainly against it. And besides, while you’re in there in the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” category, that’s something else that ain’t broke that you can replace. 😄

You convinced me. Found this Bapmic one on Amazon. Plate, filter, connector and gasket for $95.
https://www.amazon.com/Bapmic-Transmission-Conductor-Connector-Mercedes-Benz/dp/B01NCKQKWP/ref=sr_1_3?crid=H58HA7KGZ81I&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.nk1fXhkOef5kjITq_Ol8P9uSQ5WhiDun1OWJy3kIPLQ.E3syjTE0jOE66pBRGzgtsGWWZytq7nIscPbQfwKXQ_Y&dib_tag=se&keywords=bapmic%2B722.6&qid=1749268231&sprefix=bapmic%2B722.6%2Caps%2C242&sr=8-3&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/Bapmic-Transmission-Conductor-Connector-Mercedes-Benz/dp/B01NCKQKWP/ref=sr_1_3?crid=H58HA7KGZ81I&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.nk1fXhkOef5kjITq_Ol8P9uSQ5WhiDun1OWJy3kIPLQ.E3syjTE0jOE66pBRGzgtsGWWZytq7nIscPbQfwKXQ_Y&dib_tag=se&keywords=bapmic%2B722.6&qid=1749268231&sprefix=bapmic%2B722.6%2Caps%2C242&sr=8-3&th=1
The Bapmic lists compatible part numbers of 1402701161, 1402700861, 1402700561, 1402770095, 1402710080, 2035400253, 2035400153, 2035400053, 1402700250 but Amazon says does not fit XJR. I've gone to every supplier I can think of (FCP, AutohausAZ, Parts Geek, etc) and can't find a listing for a conductor plate for a 2003 XJR but I get the above part numbers. If I search "2003 Jaguar XJR transmission conductor plate" the first result is a link to AutohausAZ. Click on and says doesn't fit 2003 XJR but part number matches the no brand ones I've found on Amazon which say fits XJR. FCP says for 722.6 fits numerous brands including Jaguar but message pops up doesn't fit your car.

You look up parts for a 2002 XJR as the 2003 was the identical car.
Jaguar made no changes to the 2003MY as they were introducing the X350 and spent no time or money on changes to the X308.

When new electrical guides were printed and distributed to the mechanics, the 2001 XJ sedan was the last one.
The 2002 and 2003 electrical guides issued was just a cover page that had 2001/2002 and then 2001 to 2003.
No new guides, just a cover page to put in the 3 ring binder.

Google search 2002 XJR conductor plate. Same link to FCP which says " . . . and other brands including Jaguar" put box shows up saying "this part does not fit your car." Going with because the OE part numbers are matching,

Figured out the TransGo kit includes the same kind of sleeves in the Sonnax kit..
