Default Economy Ebay Remotes for 94-96 cars

Hi gents, I am pretty sure someone posted about this before, but I could not find the original topic to repost there....PSA, these 12 dollar remotes for sale on eBay work on the 94-96 systems exactly as advertised. I programmed it to my car exactly as I program the OEM remotes. (Photos below)

I have a relatively new OEM remote in my “regular driving keyset” Plus two brand new OEM remotes, but I wanted a remote for my “mechanic keys” that I give to mechanics or use when I am working on the car myself. (I hate greasy old looking key-sets) , and this 12 dollar remote worked perfectly for that purpose.

Mark,

I'm interested although I fully expect they'll be for the US not UK frequency. I couldn't seem to see an ebay link or ebay item number in your post?

Tks

Paul

Hi Mark. Can I confirm they will work on the 1996 Celebration system ? And yes, an Ebay item # would be great. I lost one set many years ago. And had to jerry-rig the other with a piece of thin plastic. Apparently, the original remotes were poorly designed. Wish I could also find exact original replacements. Thanks.

Rick

Probably this one. US uses 318 MHZ. I have bought a few OEM off Ebay and all work on my 95.

What is the process to program the new remote? I was just looking at these but am hesitant on the programming capability.

You program them exactly as you would program the OEM remotes:

The XJ40 (VIN 667829 onward) in the US uses the SAME keyfob transmitter as the XJS later cars.
Just another option to find single button Jaguar transmitters.
