2008 XKR running rich with long term trim averaging -20 causing P072 and P075 setting off check engine light. Replaced upstream O2 sensors, maf sensors, plugs, cleaned airfilters and changed nothing. I have aftermarket airfilters which shortens the tube to the filter to about 18 inches and was told by one mechanic that I needed the stock system. Anyone seen this before and have any ideas? Can you post some photos please of what after market intake setup that you have here? Also did you replace maf with
DENSO brand or something else?

The filter system is from Mina Galleries and this picture represents what it looks like with one feeding the left and the other feeding the right. The MAF sensors that I installed were Jaguar OEM. Thanks for your interest. Ron

Did you ever do a Hard Reset after your mods? If you haven't, the car still wants to drive on it's initial 'learn' and is trying to make that work right.

Not yet but I will let you know when I have tried it. Ron
After hard reset the values settled back in to the -20 range left and right. I am going to go to the stock filter system as was recommended and see if that solves the issue.
In your mina intake setup were is maf positioned
? Is it in the same tube as oem or is
it now sitting in a wider tube? If its the later that will screw up the readings

There is nothing wrong with aftermarket systems but when you mess with maf housing tubing diameter by enlarging it , that will cause ecu to read less air than is actually what maf is scaled for.
Thank you for all the input as I worked through the trim issue. Ultimately I purchased and installed a stock filter system as recommended by Stuart S and the trim values have settled in at plus or minus a max of 2 both sides and the car runs great. The location of the maf sensors which differed from the after market system seems to be the source of the error. Problem solved!

2008 XKR Convertible, (mods: AlphaJagTuning ECU Tune , 1.5lb pulley, (200cel cats( are now melted), xpipe, Bosch 001 pump, 180 Thermostat.
