Default Brand New TPS Ordered $45 shipped

1985003250 is what I have on my xkr, I finally found a dealer that sells my tps for my 2000 xkr for $45 shipped with 1 year warranty, without having to pay that $2500+ for a whole throttle body lol.

So hopefully things go smooth, they have 997 available,so enough to help most of the folks on the forum out, Ill let you know when I receive the new unit in the mail, I paid using a credit card and sign up was free.

That's great news aode06 - please let us know how you get on. As stated before, when I tried that source they eventually came back and said they couldn't supply unless the order was 2500units(not 2000 as I stated in another thread).
As part of the negotiations, which went on for a number of weeks, I did forward them the spec. on the 198500-3250 along with a link to Steve in France's thread so, you never know, they may have looked at the numbers and decided to float it themselves.
I'm watching this one with great interest...........

The guy already has feedback for selling 7 of them , and those orders were not 2500 units(This seller does not even have 2500 units lol), some were just 1 TPS so, I got my fingers crossed.

Please no one email the seller telling him the price of our throttle bodies or the fact Jaguar will not sell them without the throttle body, BECAUSE HE MAY JACK THE PRICE UP OR ONLY WANT TO SELL IN BULK, THANKS

I may be looking into this in the spring. I've chased a Engine Failsafe relating to the TPS and replaced the contacts, looked for electrical issues, and still get the same code, so I may as well try one of these. Right now the car is in storage and my garage is too cold for me to want to mess with anything, so I will see how it goes for you. I've used Aliexpress for coil packs with great results, the hardest part being waiting for slow shipping from China.

I am communicating with the manager, apparently some executive lawyer is going after this company for selling this part to us,he does have the sensors though in stock.DAM

The sensor can be rebuilt for $75 on ebay as stated in an earlier post.

The companies will completely disassemble your tps and rebuild it from the ground up, new pins and board, everything, I'm just hoping to save yall as much money as possible by getting this guy to sell em for $45

Good news, I knew they would turn up in the aftermarket sooner or later.

Just updating, the manager agreed and has shipped me a unit to see if it works. I am recording tps resistance and voltage to ecm at idle before removal.

When you post an update can you also tell us what and how you tested on the old one. I may be looking at doing this in the spring, so details would be great. Hopefully it is as simple as swapping or requiring very little adjustment.

My tps is not bad.The car will tell you if yours is bad.
The tps on our cars are adjustable, but only to make your car run proper.

I am only comparing /checking the tps voltage at idle from my old unit, so I can note that down and set the new unit to those specs, and the same when I put my old unit back on.

This is simply an experiment to make sure this tps will work on our xk8 and xkr units without having to purchase the entire throttle body from Jaguar or having to send your old tps to be refurbished(which is a good option as well in my opinion)

Thanks for your finding this. Will save a lot of us lots on money. There is no reason at all for Jag not to sell the unit by itself.

Part is currently listed as No Longer Available so aode06 got the last one they were allowed to sell.

The unit bears a striking resemblance however to the one used on Aprillia motorcycles.

Yes! The unit is used on '98-'03 Aprillia RSV1000 bikes. No info on price as of yet.

I'd love to see how this works out, or I may end up being a guinea pig for it this spring if the TPS pigtail change doesn't fix my issue.

There are a few Denso TPS units that are physically similar - it's the electrical characteristics that differ and are crucial.

From my understanding, we haven't gotten a follow up as to whether it was a success or failure.
