engine check light
problems problems problems................... engine check light came on yesterday, had it checked at auto zone reading said fuel problem? lately the gas needle has been sticking and would go to E when theres 1/2 tank then would bounce back... sometimes would have to shut car then restart then it would go back to 1/2. codes are : po171 po174 & po1111
* fuel injection system to lean ?
*IVT control solenoid valve circut ?
* MAF sensor ?
any thoughts or sugestions.....

thanks paul & RJ.. i'll try cleaning the maf sensor and the connections.... after i clean them should the light go out if that was the problem or should i have the engine light cleared and then see if it comes back ? to clean do i have to take maf off and apart or just unplug and clean the connections
not to famillar with all this.. did watch a u-tube video on it though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Air Leaks AFTER the MAF will cause the Lean Mixture Condition.

Only use MAF spray cleaner..do NOT touch the sensors. Take out the two screws, unplug the wire and remove. You will have a plastic device with a sensor inside a tube and a tempurture sensor on the outside of the tube. Spray everything very well with the MAF cleaner, let dry and reassembly.

hope its not to late. might have touched............ where do you pick up the maf spray cleaner......... auto zone ?
