The CHECK ENGINE light is on and why is there a KAYAK on the car?

I think it's a storage box to carry more cargo with, but yeah, they should've cleared that MIL.

Was one of the shortcomings of the x150 series, I guess it was either that or a trailer to get some usability like we have with ours

Anyway each to their own, this trend I think started with the Koenigsegg Agera R :

I thought maybe the car was going to 'flip-over' and do some sort of JAMES BOND water/boat type escape?

That's mine! The roofbox was on because the photographer likes the look of rooboxes on stance cars (it's a look in the stance scene atm). Trust me it is not a permanent fixture and I won't be putting it on unless absolutely necessary!
The MIL/Check light is on due to the adaptive suspension being removed, I'm having to wait until i can take it to swallows to get their module fitted to remove that light!

But i like the way people only commented on that rather than the actually car itself. Here it is without the roofbox on

Hope this changes your minds

Default Love the car

I agree with the title of the thread -... a cool mod Jag” , very tastefully done.

However in an old X100, with the CEL on, i’ll be worried sick though...

Paul, credit where credit is due, the car is very tastefully done. I like it a lot and if it were mine, I don't think I would do any changes (except the MIL). I specially like that you went with air suspension to lower your car but are able to raise it to a normal height so that it is driveable. I also like that you fitted AP Racing brakes, which means it should surely stop very well. Have you done any power upgrades?

Now after seeing yours, I wonder what a wide body kit would look like on it?

Thank you! The MIL will be done very soon don't worry haha
Yeah, that was my aim, I lowered it, and it looked good, but I could barely go anywhere, so I went with a custom air set up!
So, the brakes, the reason I uprated them was because i track this car, been round the nurburgring 8 times in it and been to donington and brands hatch, and the standard brakes are just poop, had bad brake fade with yellowstuff pads, so had some custom XP10's made up, while these were very good, they squeaked and had a lot of residue! So, I went so custom brackets and got some big boy CP9560 calipers! Now it stops like a charm haha.
yeah I have, map, pulley, exhaust and filters, running in the regain of 600bhp

Great job on the mods! I wouldn't worry about the statements regarding the roofbox. Volvo ran an ad with their V70 with a roofbox attached to the top of the car. I would have shot it with the majority of the scenes without it. Your videographer did a great job on the shots and editing. Think he spent too much time in the opening sequence showing the leaves on the overhanging tree. Should have cut a few frames of the car in between the leaves. Going over to the UK again next week to shoot another music video. Hope to see more cool Jags while there.

Nicely done mods. I thought the roof box might be a new form spoiler. Roof rather than rear deck.

Great fitment. Well done. Air suspension is a great idea and something I would do to mine if I had the funds.

I kind of like the roof box actually. I get an odd kick out of sports cars being used for supposedly non sports car tasks. Such as everyday driving or hauling stuff. I stuck a christmas tree on mine (with, of course, adequate protections).

I wonder if the roofbox could be mounted further back (i.e. with supports on the back window). Then the side profile might resemble a shooting brake.

I did think about this, but i don't know if the rear window would support the weight or if it would look good haha. Need someone who's good at photoshop!

Here is how the Audi R8/10 Owners solved it, they used the rear spoiler as support though, but it gives some idea:
