Default side 1/4 windows wont operate HELP

OK, The convert top hydr line going to the latch broke... (so whats new!) I learned how to bypass the relays to lower my 1/4 windows. Ok, today, great Florida weather so I loosened the petcock on the hydr top system to manually lower the top. All fine so far.. Now the rains are here, I need to raise the top, but the 1/4 windows are up and I can not lower them by bypassing the relay. What's the problem? is there another switch to bypass?

Do you hear any sounds from the rear window regulators?

Default If 1/4 windows regulators won’t engage, then it’s another switch

First, I take it you’ve tried the Centre console roof switch up/down in conjunction with the manual opening/closing of the roof. The system might be confused on the sequencing.

If that didn’t work, try jumping the relays at the trunk box in the right cycle sequence timing. Ie lowering quarter windows is the first operation when you lower the hood. Last operation is windows up when raising.

If the roof is up and latched, you will need access to the switch connector on the bottom of the RHS cylinder ram behind the rear quarter music panel.

Default A few pics

Not sure what MY XK8 you have but this is the electrical diagram of the relays in the trunk of my 1999 XK8. There are specific relays for the quarter windows for both up/down. Did you jump these?

If you are digging behind the rear right quarter panel, this is what you'll see.

It's not too bad getting access behind the panel and relatively straight forward.

Here's a pic of the actual hydraulic cylinder ram RHS with the electrical connector on the bottom.

Default Double Help side windows wont work with top down

Double Help!! I asked the question before, I got some great help, but upon reopening the thread, my mouse jumped and I hit delete thread..
Here's my issue: Top hydrl broke..(so what' else is new). thus the Top was disabled in a locked closed position, the top down switch ceased to work, I assume due to fluid pouring out of the top lock mechanism, I got the bright idea of lowering the top manually. The rear windows were in an up position. I opened the petcock allowing the rams to move fluid or air and lowered the top. Ok, it's now supposed to rain in Florida so I need to put the top up and lock it. I can manually raise the top, but rear windows prevent it from getting close enough to lock. I try jumping the window relays but no go.. How do I activate the rear windows.. Is there another switch someplace??
Someone sent me an answer, but it was deleted with the original thread..

HELP!! Thank you!!

This should give you enough to get them down and even add a switch.

It wasn't deleted, I've merged both threads.

No sound what so ever.. I am trying to jump power at the trunk locate relays. There must be a switch in between the relays and the windows.. is there??

David... Thank you so much for your info. Currently the roof is nearly up, but not latched. (the interference of the 'up' windows prevents the roof from being close enough to lock close) At the trunk relays, I have power but when I jump them, they do not operate the windows. Will I need to ground that wire at the bottom of the cylinder to make the circuit work?
I get no noise from the motors, so I am sure it's a circuit issue
