Mine is 2000, got it with only 71,000 miles. I still look at it and can't believe I got it. Just in love with the looks of these.

I O Way...….……….

Look on eBay and Amazon or some of our advertisers for Clear Side Marker Lens and Clear Repeater Lens.....You can also buy Chrome coated Amber Bulbs that look like they are Chrome through the Clear Lens but blink Amber.....the Bulbs are cheap but the Lens are a little more expensive……..and get rid of that License Plate, so I can see the grill....I've never had one on 4 XK's and only got stopped once...I told him that I had ordered the Bracket several months ago but it had to come from England and Jaguar Parts hasn't called me about it yet.....or whatever floats your Boat! He actually stopped me for going 92 in a 70.....but I think he just wanted to see the Car, as I didn't get a ticket for either offense and he smiled when we parted.....that was back in 2001.....

That's pretty funny, I was just telling my wife tonight that I hate that license plate bracket on the front. All she told me is that I need to move to a state that doesn't require front plates. I am totally with you on that one though! What about LED bulbs? Do they cause a problem in these?

I O Way.....!
I can't see your Car well enough to tell for sure but it appears you have HID Low Beams....It appears the outside Low Beams have projector Lens...If so, they are HID
and if they are stock, they are 20 years old.....Go to Headlight Experts.com where they have an HID Kit with new Bulbs and Ballast for $69.00 Bucks or so to replace your old ones...;they also have an LED Bulb kit for your High Beams for about the same amount to replace your stock Halogens This will fix you up for night driving!!! You will be able to see wayon down the road......or IOWay on down the road......

Have a Happy Day!!

Just purchased my 1St Jag. Just wanted a nice convertible for my birthday and after looking at pictures of all kinds I chose this one.

Well Fancynan! Happy Birthday to you!

You have chosen one heck of a good looking XKR.....I love it!....Someone has really taken good care of it for you! If it runs as good as it looks, you should give that Guy a big "Hug"!

@BigAlBre , I know you didn't ask me, but those are Double Fives. You can find them used fairly reasonably too; they don't cost near what Sepangs, Montreals or Detroits cost; and are fairly easy to clean.

@Fancynan99 , nice car! Looks like my car but in better condition lol. There are ways to get the headlights to not mist up like that. HOWEVER, DO NOT WIPE OUT INSIDE. My car's former owner did that and removed the silver coating/paint... For now, just pop the little access covers off until the water evaps, and then consider one of the solutions; I just drilled a small hole in the covers.

Thank you!! I wasn't sure what the rims were called. lol
I definitely think they look good on the car though. I usually like at least a little bit of a lip on them but thought these look too good to mess with. At least for now. I figure the headlight will dry so I don't worry too much about that for now. This will be my baby and not see the Iowa winters except when the garage door opens and closes. I absolutely love the looks of these cars. Hoping to have this one for a good long time to enjoy!

Here goes! In all it’s bruises and rashes. At 95k, it’s hard to avoid them. A full paint correction is on my list though.

I have a 2001 XLR Silverstone and I really like the way the spacers and springs look on your coupe. Such a classic design of the coupe -it will never grow old!

Mr. Vegas, I'm not sure if you were addressing me or Mr. Sandwich.....So, me XKR Coupe came the way it is set-up and has Brembo (Red) Brakes with Drilled Rotors and 20" BBS "Montreal" Wheels.....It has no Spacers and has the "R" Performance Package...Can't really make out much about your Silverstone...Why not send us some Photos of the Wheels and such!!! After all, it's a "Silverstone"! They only shipped 250 of them to the USA!

Mr.Sandwich….

Thought for the Day: What happens if one of those BBS Valve Stems, that screw into the Wheel and holds the "Air" in the Tire, goes BAD? I thought about this, "after all these years" a couple months ago....So, I started looking for (4) replacement Valve Stems.....Well, Thank Heaven I didn't need one......as they are hard to come by! I finally found (4) in Scotland.....after searching and following up on 2 or 3 leads.....I made contact with Dave at: https://www.xk8-parts.com/

If you want one or four, now is the time.....They cost about $25 Bucks a piece...…………..
