New member with XK battery charging
First post rather than new.
2013 XK convertible had a flat battery. The manual was really unclear as to charge the car, the positive terminal was early enough to find but negative ?no clue.
Used a YouTube search and discovered that you use the exhaust as the negative but in addition as the engine is 5L, a guy in the car park said I needed bigger cables. As I was luckily outside a car store, Halfords, Waterlooville in Uk, I bought some for a 4.5l car and they worked first time.
Unfortunately it looks like the temperature sensor is now not working so the heating is not working. Maybe a fuse issue. Any Thoughts?

Quite often, many of the mysterious electrical 'faults' discussed across these forums are mainly caused by a failing or weak battery.
After the battery is fully charged and the charger disconnected for at least ten minutes, use a voltmeter to check the voltage across the terminals. If the voltage is less than 12.5 volts, the battery must be replaced.
