Hello,

My name is CB, I live just outside of NYC in Westchester County and recently purchased my first Jaguar. It is a 2005 S Type V8 with a little less than 95,000 miles. It's in pretty rough condition but can be brought back to its former glory with a bit of care and effort.

Since I purchased it in June, I have changed all the spark plugs and one coil pack. It is currently in the shop for a transmission oil, pan and sleeve change using the ZF Life kit I first read about in the S Type forum.

When I first purchased it, the check engine light was on and accompanied by a litany of engine codes. With the services performed so far, the check engine light and all but one code (P1000) have been extinguished.

Still a way to go but, I'll get there.

You will always see either code P1000 (OnBoard Monitoring tests not completed since last memory clear) or P1111 (OnBoard Test complete). They are a status and not an error.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
