Exclamation Gearbox Fault

So my 2005 S Type 3.0 GearBox Fault warning is on.

P R N all work fine. But when I go into D it goes very slow, sounds and feels like its stuck in a higher gear and wont come out.

How many miles? Have you noticed any leakage of Lifeguard Fluid.

Check the easy stuff first. If you cannot DIY check the fluid level take it to any transmission shop and have them check it.

150,000

But the tranny was replaced about 1 1/2 ago. And of course it only had a 1 yr warranty. No fluid leaking that I can see.

Just called the shop that did the replacement. Of course all they can do is "take a look at it" Its a sealed tranny, that Im sure consists of literally looking at it and doing another swap. $$$

They're not sealed. They have a fill plug that's also used to check the level. If your place don't know how to do the level check then go elsewhere - any competent trans place should nowadays know this quite common box. It's used on Audis, BMWs, Aston Martins, Bentleys, Fords, etc.
