Peculiar issue, my X350 nav unit thinks its an x400! RESOLVED
I was in the SDD under dealer/vehicle options, I changed a few items (global lock, unlock, and driver mirror dip in reverse)
The vid blocks updated fine (no errors), but now my climate control screen looks like the the below pic
(its the only picture I could find on the web) and I no longer have dual zone climate control options
I know of the hidden menu (press phone + menu buttons, type 1971),
This isnt my screen, but it looks like this (showing x400 on top left)
when you select 'misc' its lets you select from X400, X350 or X202, I select X350, getting my dual zone options back however as soon as I restart the car, it doesnt save and goes back to the X400 menu
I tried re-loading nav software, that also doesnt work.
What the heck happened to my nav unit?

It must be something to do with the VID blocks that were re-written when i added those features..
Reading up regarding WDS troubleshooting, I came across these excerpts:
If this is true, that means I may have to reconfigure the ECM (yikes!) then re-flash the module...

Time to chase down this issue further.
After trying to reconfigure all modules in my car in SDD (climate, audio, generic) the system still boots up giving me a digital clock in the top right and no dual zone climate controls, (example pic below is from an 2002 Xtype 2.2DE)
I tried reconfiguring dealer options as well, but it doesnt change anything.
I reconfigured ECM (reflashed newer file) and it didnt change this either..
I have also tried to reload navigation software via diagnostic menu. no luck.
What makes this even stranger is when I access diag menu via code 1971, and select 'misc' -> 'system options' - I can select 'X350' (sorry for bad pic)
and it restores all functionality for an X350. However as soon as I restart, it reverts back to the X400 options
I am guessing the FETM may be the culprit here, however Ive not been able to explicitly reconfigure this module, SDD hasnt given me the choice.

Figured it out.
The settings for the touch screen are under Configure Audio module. I went and configured a new module and selected manual configuration (instead of auto).
It brought me to an expansive list of options. One option was vehicle type, and another was trim level. Both of which were unspecified in my current VID block.
Back in business!
I selected XJ and all of my options came back!
