Exclamation Issue with part near throttle body

Seems this part is loose or broken. It came off while I was driving and noticed it when I had looked under the hood.

Just looking to get suggestions or help with this, if there's a part number or something I can buy to replace it.

Thanks
Hose off, broken.

Hose on, it's loose. I can pull it out, I know you're supposed to be able to press the sides to pull it out, but that's not needed.

Would love to get some DIY options, as I'm not particularly looking to spend a lot of money, unless I really have to.

Remove o-ring, clean it thoroughly, and glue it in place with oil resistant semi elastic epoxy type glue, next time you will need to take things apart you will disconnect hose at valve cover
Other option is getting the elbow from junkyard
Obviously don't drive like that too much cause you have a massive air leak now and car is running lean

That air duct is not expensive at all. Neither is the full breather hose.

In this case I say buy new one.

Planned obsolescence is surely apparent with that part.

Breather hose is fine from what I can tell. I'm looking to replace the part it goes into, NNC3555BA is the correct part number I'd need for a 2002 XJ8? Just want to be 100% before I buy.

I would be more concerned about the oil.
You can remove and clean the inlet snorkel with brake cleaner, then look up the process of cleaning the part load and full load breathers - the part you want to replace can be tidied up with a scotch pad and refitted.

There maybe a possible EGR issue - black gunk suggests possible blow-by? A good inspection of all induction including the egr assembly is something you might want to look into.

There are multiple inexpensive ways to repair that connection. You really don't need
any expensive parts requiring shipping. Lowes and Home Depot have a variety of fittings
that could be used.
