Default Fianally!! I feel like I belong

Kinda felt guilty the past few months with all the trouble free miles I've enjoyed.

Well after my first vacation in seven years I took the car off the battery tender and went for a spin. Three minutes into the drive ACS andTrac unavailble..

Hoo hoo!!!

Then my wife calls...says there's a small puddle on the garage floor and a drip trail in the driveway...ruh roh!

So I pull over, no issue with oil level and continue on. I stopped at the grocery store and as I was leaving the steering gave a bit of a whine....super! Almost empty. Luckily there was a NAPA in the same center so I bought some DEX III....

WELL....she's leaking, haven't had a chance to look yet but I'll be cramming these forums for info. The trac/acs light did go off after a few drives but I did read up on cleaning the sensors so I'll do that.

There...It's offici!al...I'm one of the group now!!!

Update: As has been my mantra for over 49 years of driving.....wait and it'll fix itself.

Well, it did, for about 500 miles. No more leaking until SAturday morning. 65 degree lovely sunny day in Cental NY and I was going to cruise over to an apple orchard that has great fall colors for some unpasteurized cider, (for making hard cider), and get a few shots of the car with the foliage in the background.

Nah!

Steering got a tad noisy but then what I thought was steam came out from under the driver side of the hood....Drat!...well, I did use a different four-letter word but let's leave it at drat!

High pressure line failed and was spraying fluid on block. Ok, so no cooling issue. Had a quart in the trunk, added a bit and left it outside so as to not mess up the newley sealed driveway.

Took it into a local indy today who is very good and likes Jags...who'd a thunk it??

I prefer not to deal with the high pressure lines....I know, I'm a whimp!

Zsa Zsa Gabor supposedly once said, "Anyone who says money can't buy happiness just doesn't know where to shop"! To some degree, I concur. If you have found a repair shop that you can trust for quality parts and labor, treat your Jag and you with kindness and respect and still be priced with a cost reasonable as to the quality, difficulty and timely completion of the repair being done and the geographic area where you live. Yes, it does take money, but happiness and driving a Jag is the same thing.
