Default Odd electrical isse

Everything working fine until today. Car has been sitting for 3 weeks on a CTEK charger. Everything (as far as I can tell) is working fine except the following: glove box will not open, windows will not operate, sunroof will not operate, and maybe most disturbing, fuel door does not open! As far as I can tell, these items are all on different fuses so there must be something else. I do have what looks to be an original battery in the car, so it is old, but seems to be fine as long as I keep it on charger when it sits for more than a week.

Load test that battery, it may be OK on voltage but low on power.

The fuel door can be opened manually if it doesn't open with the button.

Touch battery leads together to reboot vehicle.

Well, I have decided to replace the battery, so I am hoping a new battery will resolve the issue. My manual is in the glove box, how do I manually open the fuel door?

Download ownners' manual from this site.

Will have details of fuel door opener.

ie white lever in boot behind liner and near fuel door.

To escape possible valet mode-lock doors and reopen with key.

Fraser, valet mode was my first thought too.

When in Valet mode, the system won't allow other doors to unlock, boot, glove box, probably fuel door too, the manual release is behind the trim in the boot area where the fuel door is, but I'm not sure if that will open the feul door if it is actually locked.

Why would you need a manual release if the door was not locked?

Root cause possible bad earth behind headlight.

Because the door is electrically operated, locked or not, and if the electrical connection fails, you need to be able to open the door manually

New battery tomorrow, but in the meantime, I am able to lock and unlock the car, so I don't think I'm in valet mode. I also noticed the mirrors don't move either. So it's a grab bag of items not working. I'll post results of the new battery. Next would be checking the grounds. Thanks for the help.

New battery yesterday, rebooted the car, everything back to normal. Just a lesson in the importance of having a very healthy battery. As I was driving to get the battery, the steering wheel heat was on. It's warm here in Ohio. Luckily that fixed itself as well.
