Thanks for your speedy reply. My car is a Japanese Import and has not been converted to English (if indeed it can be). Is this possible and, if so, do you know how?
Regards.
Jag Indy is the plan but he is very busy for a couple of weeks, so just wondered. Re: not all converted to English - it was the price and low mileage 51k. Hope I didn't get a lemon.
Sure the car is legal. Here's the UK rules (which seem similar to NZ): https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicle...al-recognition
Besides, in the PC-Correct UK it might be considered (Ethnist?) to ban a language.
I have 3 Jap imports (in NZ) and the Jap indigenous cars (Hondas) can't be changed.
Playing with my X358, the Display language setting only affects the main display not the odometer screen. (My odometer is English).
Another thing, (radio frequencies), I don't have a Region setting in the Audio Setup (as Partick doesn't), yet my frequencies are not Jap ones.
I suspect the Jag specialist my dealer used, must have replaced the entire relevant software. Though X358 could be different.
And as an aside, I suspect Japan doesn't salt it's roads. Be proud of your Jap import !
Yoosey, would you mind sticking your car model in your signature?

I am seeing this warning.on my Japanese Import which is not yet converted to English
1. Does anyone know what it means or can translate?
2. Is there an easy way to change language to English, I managed it easily enough on the Radio although one could never have guesed which buttons to press.
The car drives ok but the Nearside Front suspension definately need looking at.
To change the display language, switch the ignition ON while pressing the ML/km switch. The trip computer will display the current language. Press the ML/km switch repeatedly to cycle through the available languages. Once the correct language is selected, press the A/B switch. The new language will be selected after a delay of three seconds.
Thanks v. much. I got the following from an old post and it worked a treat:
1. push m/km button
2. stay on that button & turn ignition switch to position 2
release button and push again
3. when language change appear press A/B and scroll through until you come to English.
Worked a treat and and my Priority Warning was fixed by 0.5ltr of coolant and there was me panicking.
Ha! I spent a while with Japanese alphabet, just for fun and that lead nowhere.
Then I compared my Jap manual with the English one (Jap P4-12 = Eng P94!) and determined Engine Coolant.
Then I saw the Language selection.
By that time, you guys were WAY ahead of me! Cheers and glad it's sorted.

Except why did it need 1/2 litre of coolant ! If it were me I'd be looking around the engine bay.
